About Us
The company was established by Colonel
John Reid in 1919 as a family business and is still owned and managed by
the same family today. We first started making aircraft hangars when
Louis Blériot, the famous French aviator who was the first to fly the
English Channel, ordered his new hangars and workshops from us in the
1920's. We have continued making and shipping hangars for all types of
aircraft, all over the world and today we design and and make hangars
for the biggest aircraft in service, from helicopters to airliners. We
also make manual and electro-mechanical doors for our own and existing
hangars and we offer a world wide erection service or supervising
engineers.
In addition to aircraft hangars, we
design and make military hardened hangars, airport buildings, bus
stations, multi-story car parks and apartment buildings, grandstands,
warehouses, bridges and industrial buildings of every type. All our
constructions can be made earthquake and hurricane resistant.
